India’s elite K9 squad | How the CRPF trains its combat dogs

Ever Wondered how combat dogs in a K9 squad are trained? DH brings you the exclusive story of Central Reserve Police Force’s dog training school in Bengaluru, Where pups are transformed into four-legged soldiers.

This institute in Taralu is next to the Thottikallu falls in Bengaluru. I have see the trainers train the dogs rigorously and the discipline is exceptional. During a weekend, the dogs and the trainers came to the falls, and the dogs crossed the crest of the falls with trainers effortlessly. It was a wonderful sight to behold and the entire visitors kept staring in amazement. Salute to both CRPF personnel and the 4 legged soldiers.

The school was planned and set up by my uncle AC Sunil Kumar (retd) , so proud to see this K9 school flourishing. Given so many successful operations in naxal areas. He now runs a dog training school of his own in Bangalore. Such dedication and passion towards national security. Hats off! Jai Hind
